Lunchtime Arrangements

All students must remain on the premises for the entire lunch period. In an emergency a student will be granted permission to leave, by either the Head of Year, Medical Officer or one of the Senior Leadership Team on production of a parental note. If permission is given, the signing out procedure should be followed. Where a student is taken ill, parents will be contacted.

All teacher supervision at lunchtime is on a voluntary basis. In addition, there are Senior Leaders aided by Heads of Year who circulate throughout the lunchtime and reinforce the work of the Supervisory Assistants who maintain the good order we expect from our students.

Students take their lunch at set times, and during their lunch break they may eat in the dining hall or outside. Packed lunches should be eaten in the main hall or outside. During lunchtime sessions, other students are in lessons, and therefore the rest of the school building is out of bounds. Students who enter the out of bounds area during lunchtimes receive a C4 detention.

In wet weather students remain in the dining hall or main hall.

Dining Facilities

The school has its own dining hall that serves students at breakfast, breaktime and lunchtime.

The canteen offers a variety of fresh food cooked on site. Please see a selection of typical menus and a price list below.
